Soundtrack for a Revolution

Soundtrack for a Revolution is a timely revisitation of the Civil Rights movement in a very successful attempt to appreciate the musical traditions which inspired endurance, courage and tenacity at the frontlines. Using sotkc images and footage from the movement and pairing them with recorded performances, directors Bill Guttentag and Dan Sturman compose a documentary which relies as much on its soundtrack as it does the evocative images it revelas. Songs from the gospel and spiritual traditions which were echoed throughout the movement are covered here by popular contemporary artists such as John Legend, Anthony Hamilton and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Following this film’s screening, the Blind Boys will perform LIVE at the College. This is your opportunity to the firsthand experience of electrifying and unifying spirit of music; don’t soundtrack-for-a-revolution_592x299miss ou0t!
